Alex, a struggling actor with ambitions, his Norwegian girlfriend Vibeke, a successful puppeteer with anxiety problems, Vibeke's free-spirited friend Turid and Alex' nerdy childhood friend Benn are all happy to celebrate Christmas together in Alex' old house in beautiful Arvika. But this year, Alex has also invited film producer Fredrik to the house, or more precisely: Fredrik has invited himself, and as Alex really wants his career to take of, he's accepted it. Vibeke is skeptical, but it gets worse when it appears Fredrik and his wife Anni is there to play some kind of mind game with Alex - or someone else in the house. The next morning, Anni is kidnapped by a person in a deer mask. Following the trail of blood, Alex, Turid and Benn discover that a very special local has a very special basement.
