The Love of Bachelorette Summary
The Chinese term, "sheng nu" means, "leftover women", it refers to women who are successful yet unmarried in their late twenties and beyond. To the rest of the world this may seem harsh, but for millennial Chinese women, it's an all-too-familiar part of daily life in China. A successful Bachelorette, Ying Xiao Le (played by Maggie Qin) is pressured by her parents to get married and on mission to find her Mr. Right. Advised by her friends she goes to the fabled Wishing Tree and makes a wish to find Mr. Right. Suddenly, an old Chinese myth comes true and a series of awkward events follow when four eligible bachelors suddenly fight for her attention and one of them is a childhood friend who's had a crush her since they were kids.
